April 10 -- Grasmere, Lake District
The A walk was led by
Phil			and Derek
from Ambleside to Grasmere the long way round (via - Low Pike - High Pike - Dove Crag - Hart Crag - Fairfield and Great Rigg - Phew!)
Preparations

Roger took the B+ walkers on a "short but fairly strenuous" walk on a clock-wise circuit over the fells NW of Grasmere
				some need a breather already

The B- walk...
walked clock-wise around Grasmere, then
				climbed up onto Loughrigg Fell
with its fine views
				over Grasmere
				From the top of the fell..
..lunch and views of Elterwater at the beginning of Langdale
				Down towards Ambleside..
..and back along the N bank of Rydal Water
The 'C' group's walk was along the lower slope of Silver How to Dow Bank and then Red Bank.Dropping down on to Loughriggg Terrace and Rydal water. After a brief stop to rehydrate at Rydal, they took the Old Coffin route below Nab Scar en route to Grasmere and yet more rehydration!.
